555 KUBIK: When Building Becomes Canvas
In 555 KUBIK, Urbanscreen uses high-powered digital 3-D video projection systems to create the illusion of huge hands manipulating the tiled surface of the museum’s façade as geometric projections and the building features are meshed and morphed and the eyes are flooded with optical illusions on a grand scale. Rossa describes his installation by posing the question, “How it would be if a house was dreaming?” 555 KUBIK may not answer the conundrum of dreaming houses, but as they say in Germany, ist es nicht kühl?
