Built overlooking a golf course, this custom built home required a kitchen that was as sophisticated and elegant as the rest of the house. Mark White of Kitchen Encounters created a sleek, modern, and uncluttered look that really complemented the style of the home and the wood ceiling details found throughout the interior.

A perfect blend of exotic materials, glass, and stainless steel really makes this kitchen stand out. The main island contains a free-formed glass top as well as a teak wood top over a curved stainless steel panel, while ribbon mahogany cabinets with horizontal grain finish the area. The horizontal grain of the ribbon mahogany cabinet doors is one of the unique features of the kitchen.

Architect Vince Green designed the island, which includes the curved stainless steel support structure and wood top with custom trough sink. Dishwasher drawers flank the stainless apron sink for easy clean up, while the Gooseneck faucet services both the apron and the custom trough sink in the teak top. Lit by the pendent lighting on tracks overhead, the multi-level island really shines.
