In Copenhagen, Denmark, Hotel FOX stepped outside the box with these incredible themed rooms. They gave 21 international artists permission to run wild with paint and accessories for the Volkswagen Fox 21 launching. The result? 61 hand-painted, custom-designed fantasy rooms. Have I died and gone to Neverland?

Swiss artist Benjamin Güdel chose the mother of all kitsch literary themes for this room: the story of Heidi by Johanna Spyri. From the blue-sky ceiling to astro turf carpet, this room speaks to the barefoot farmgirl in all of us.

Or maybe you wanna be royalty for a night. Says German artist Birgit Amadori, “You are invited to spend a night at the King's Court. The King and Queen have gathered their magicians, jesters, fortune-tellers and other mystical courtiers to greet you.” Good, good… Yes … excellent…

Room 209 is all about chance. The forest trees look like chess pieces. The rocks on the bedspread are black dice. Parisian artists Antoine Audiau and Manuel Warosz say they’re “deeply impressed by the influence of chance on our lives and what we make of it.” Maybe you’ll get lucky?
