In Portland local, sustainably harvested wood was used for the bed frames and some furniture, as well as local No-VOC paint, organic mattresses and bathroom linens, natural (and local) soaps, and minibars stocked with local and organic foods. Ace Portland also uses original, salvaged clawfoot tubs and corner sinks from the original building, which opened in 1912. They also used salvaged Douglas fir desks and counters -- a good portion of the wood from the original building -- and salvaged beam bedside tables from the garage across the street. They even make bicycles available to guests looking for a low-impact, low-stress way to get around town.

Ace New York also features such distinctive amenities as custom designed Gibson guitars in room for guests to play, music hall turntables with a hand-picked selection of albums to enjoy or purchase during your stay, plus the usual assortment of vintage furniture and fixtures as well as original artwork in deluxe rooms.
