If construction projects were to earn a grade, this teahouse in Prague would get an A+. It's a peaceful sanctuary set in a garden, giving its owners and guests a place in which no modern technology or stressors are allowed to intrude.
Although it’s been classified by the owner and architect as a teahouse, serving a traditional Japanese tea is really its secondary purpose. The primary intention is to provide a peaceful gathering place to share with others.

While so many people are concerning themselves with construction projects that add square footage to the home or modernize existing spaces, this project is truly unique and inspiring. How many other small construction projects are born purely from the idea of creating a peaceful home-away-from-home experience?
The construction of this project was also singular. Set in a beautifully landscaped garden, the teahouse is an unexpected find but does not look at all to be an intrusion of the blooming trees and natural backdrop.
