Best From Around the Web: Urban Re:Vision

Re:Vision (www.urbanrevision.com) is an ambitious effort for collective thought, imagination, innovation, and determination to create a functioning sustainable urban community. It is a two-year, six-part international design competition to work out and develop a prototype for a completely sustainable city, one block at a time.

As founder Stacey Frost put it, "A block is to the city as a cell is to the human body." With that in mind, Urban Re:Vision and the city of Dallas, Texas have teamed up to create one fully sustainable city block within the city as a representation of the power of human creativity and modern technology. For once you've conquered the city block, the rest is history.
