Digital printing technology has opened up the doors to the next wave of chic interior design. Tattooed tables are but one poster child of Reddish Design Studio, founded by Industrial designers Naama Steinbock and Idan Friedman of Israel. These award-winning designers have fashioned furniture that is incredibly unique: "A digitally tattooed wooden body."

For eons people have used ink to mark and personalize their own skin, our most intimate creative canvas. Reddish has transformed that idea to wooden furniture, treating it as a "living body," using the wood texture as its skin. And thanks to digital technology, they can easily customize and complete each table in great detail, making these tabular tattoos as unique as the people who might otherwise wear them.

What is most amazing about these artistic tables is the way the wood naturally "wears" the tattoo, creating a real sense of living skin. These Yakuza Tables consist of digitally printed ink on veneered MDF and may be bought online at Generate for $3250 to $4350 each.
