Imagine living on top of the world, surrounded by open space and views of the cityscape below. Imagine living life in the midst of simplicity, able to pick up and go whenever your nomad instincts kick in. Imagine living in a minimalistic sanctuary that leaves no footprint behind.
The producers of Loftcube imagined a world like this and came up with cosmic rooftop living.

The Loftcube is an artistic living unit with sleek pod aesthetics. The window spaces come in translucent, transparent, timber louvers, or closed versions and the body can be custom built to suit your needs. Its interior consists of movable blinds, glass elements, and a skylight for optimal sunlight. For privacy, the space can be subdivided using sliding panels.

The possibilities are endless – it's a concept designed for restless and the spontaneous. It can serve dwellers exploring large cities for short periods or vacationers who want a unique experience. A renter can move from city to city in his own unit, either renting an existing cube or just the roof space, if need be.
Think of Berlin or Tokyo where space is limited; the Loftcube is ideal for utilizing unused rooftops of existing buildings in these cramped cities. Think of the financial opportunities of renting out unused real-estate in New York City.

The Loftcube is designed as a small, mobile living space that can be easily relocated on a whim. Its light-weight structure can be placed on a roof via a freight helicopter or construction crane. Don’t worry about it flying off the roof during the next bad storm – the Loftcube guys take care of those little details. And you don’t have to limit your location to rooftops – buy a small island somewhere and fly in your housing.
There are two sizes to choose from; 420 and 588 square feet and both can be installed in just two to four days. Pricing ranges from $111,000 to $180,000.

Great comment Seane. I too like the idea that the building is potentially relocatable. The contemporary design is also an added bonus.
Great work here. Seane, love your comment.
What type of remodeling job are you interested in?

Nice design. Puts me in mind of Philip Johnson’s Glass House. Airy and light. I also like the concept of being able to relocate, of course it would help the have your own helicopter. Maybe you could never leave the pod...fly in it to the office, fly in it to the beach and then have it set down on a mountain somewhere in time for the sunset.
