Peaceful Seclusion: The Uber Natural Bathroom

Written by Beth Flanagan

Considering that the bathroom is where we replenish our bodies, relieve mental stress, and unwind after work, it’s no wonder people invest in an all-natural bathroom. Trends are shifting away from the sterile, white hospital look toward softer, organic themes. The idea is to incorporate real elements from nature, effectively bringing the outdoors in. Of all the rooms in the house, the bathroom allows us to go crazy with fixtures and materials.

I give you: KASCH, an internationally renowned manufacturer of high-quality bathtubs and whirlpools. I’ve fallen head-over-heels for their concept and display of fine workmanship. Prepare to be amazed.

Forget about incorporating nature. This is the outdoors. The materials used here are simple, yet chic. I love the soft-colored stone and use of cement, glass and aluminum. The tub’s water fixture gracefully pours into a lit whirlpool bath, while the shower head behind the glass wall rains gently onto the natural, wood-slatted floor. And a television hook-up keeps you connected to the regular world, too.

Here’s a feeling of spaciousness and luxury. The use of natural wood blends with the outside deck and wilderness beyond, while stones and natural tile create a balance in the space. And the tub’s unique fixture makes the water seem as if it’s coming out of thin air!

There’s no shortage of ambience in this layout. Take your pick - the luxurious showerhead to the right imitates the flow of natural rain, while the fixture on the left allows for a tad more privacy. The natural wood and stone-tiled walls lend a light, neutral warmth. And the outdoor gravel surrounding the deck builds texture. This bathroom was dreamt up with pure peace and sanctuary in mind.
