If there’s one thing that people appreciate, it’s a new gadget that can multi-task. In this case, it’s an entire house.

Project V House, located in Bogota, Columbia, is a combination of many architectural features. From the unique shape of the home to the rooftop terraces to the spectacular views to the use of space in the interior, this residence is just absolutely amazing.

The house, which is made largely out of molecular glass has intriguing angles and setbacks and a graduated structure. The structure, as a whole, is made of very simple shapes and clean lines, yet the result is very unique with angular features and separated zones serving different functions both inside and out.

One of the coolest features of the home is the way the rooftop is terraced over different living spaces. Much of the roof is flat, and several rectangular areas have been cultivated to provide the owner with additional living space right on top of his house.

There’s a section of grassy knoll, a wooden deck equipped with patio furniture and even a makeshift potted garden area – all situated on the roof. In fact, it even appears that the driveway pulls directly from the roadside up onto a rooftop parking area.

While the landscape surrounding the home is a bit rocky and uneven, the architects compensated for this by taking typical backyard areas and translating those to the rooftop.

Inside the home, located directly below the potted garden is the staircase, which graduates just a few steps at a time with a sizeable landing between each set, offering areas intended for specific purposes, like music or office space.

The homeowners never have to set foot on terra firma; all of their earthly needs can be met either inside the V House or up on the roof.
