Concrete Summer Home is One with the Elements

Summer home

Built on a dune in Mar Azul, Argentina, this concrete summer home is fully surrounded by the elements. Tall pine trees loom over the property, making nature as important in the design as the architecture itself.

The home was designed by BAK Arquitectos with the intention of maximizing the privacy of the property and the serenity of the views.

Floor-to-ceiling windows make it feel as if every moment is spent in the outdoors, while still allowing for the comforts of home. Even strategically placed holes in the deck allow for trees to continue growing through the home itself.

Wood is the main material used, and furniture is kept minimal to highlight the surroundings. A fireplace in the living room lets off additional heat on chilly summer nights.

While the rest of the home might appear a bit rustic, the bathroom adds a hint of understated luxury with large shower and fair amount of mirror space.

Lit up behind a backdrop of night, this home looks as spectacular as the land it sits on. Rest and relaxation come easy here.
